It played with sunshine
On the green walls,
Where moss‘s velvet shimmered
Like emeralds.
Tumbled on boulders,
Yet feisty all the more,
Above the overlooked,
Across the insipid times.
It was a game of hide-and-seek,
Of a hidden cat,
Of a puzzled sun,
A mesmerizing treasure,
A bewildered hunter.
We clapped our hands,
We lured with fish,
It didn’t cease the game
And game was to go on.
